In recognition of the critical importance of sexual and gender health in fostering the well-being and dignity of individuals and communities, and driven by a collective vision to empower and educate future generations of healthcare providers, the founders of the African Institute for Sexual and Gender Health (AISGH) unites under a common goal: to advance sexual and gender health education, research, and advocacy across the African continent, in collaboration with esteemed institutions of learning.

Purpose
To promote comprehensive sexual and gender health education, research, and awareness through collaborative efforts among universities, healthcare professionals, and communities across Africa.
To establish collaborative partnerships with universities, particularly the University of Stellenbosch and other African universities, to integrate sexual and gender health education seamlessly into health sciences curricula to increase access to scientific- and rights based, evidence- and experience-informed, culturally sensitive sexual health education.
To train a minimum of 10,000 credible sexual health care providers who are equipped to provide evidence-based, stigma-free, and inclusive care.
To conduct and promote research on sexual and gender health issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the factors influencing these fields in the African context.
To engage in advocacy efforts that challenge societal norms, discrimination, and inequality related to sexual and gender health.

The World Association for Sexual Health
The World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) is actively creating a world in which all people have access to Sexual Health, Rights, Justice and Pleasure. WAS achieves this through its regional federations, global memberships and strategic collaborations with international partners.
